At the ZOO!!!

We took advantage of the beautiful weather (not too hot, but not rainy either) and day off for Jake and took Josh to the Zoo. It was SO MUCH FUN! Josh LOVED it, he would point to all the animals and try to call them closer by clapping his hands (since that's what he does for Roxy). We all enjoyed seeing so many magnificent creatures alive and "up close". I think all of the animals that we've been trying to teach Josh about became REAL to him. It was a blast!

So tired!

Yet another strange napping place. On Memorial Day we went out for breakfast, but Josh's nap time came as our food took a little longer than expected. As soon as the food came Josh loaded his tummy and quickly drifted off to sleep there in the high chair! Posted by Picasa

Nap time

The other day Josh was really fighting taking a nap, and I decided not to force him. However, he continued to carry around his blanket and bear and snuggle with me or briefly lay down in various places around the house. Finally he laid down by his toys and had his hand in the basket playing with some, and that's where he fell asleep. I thought it was so cute I had to take a couple pics. Posted by Picasa

The Homestead

Ok- So I'm realizing that I'm a slacker about taking pictures most of the time. For Mother's Day (and Father's Day) Jake and I left Josh with "Auntie Brea" and went up to The Homestead in Midvale this last weekend- but I hardly took any pictures! We had a great time with a beautiful room, a pedicure for me, golfing for Jake, swimming in the crater, relaxing at the pool, eating great food and just having a good time. Here are at least a few pics to document it.

Climber

Josh climbs pretty much everything these days. Most of the time I'm so scared he'll fall or frustrated that I grab him immediatly... but here are a few that I caught on film.

Mother's Day

The thoughtful gifts and acts on Mother's Day were definetly appreciated, but Sunday night after a BBQ- I took a moment watching my sweet boy playing out front and I knew that this is what its all about; joy in their joy! Posted by Picasa

Girls trip

My mom and sister Karina came down last weekend. We went to Women's conference at BYU together, and we're hoping to make a tradition of it. Here we are tying a fleece blanket. Posted by Picasa
