Haircuts

I decided it was time for haircuts. Though the younger one is cute, I'm not sure he's Dekker...? And Josh just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

My 10-year reunion

Posted by Picasa

So this past weekend was my 10year high school reunion. One of my good friends who lives in Texas and I decided we'd head to WA and crash the party. I didn't take my camera to the main event (but may post some that Camillel took later)- but here is a picture of the family style pot-luck they had the following day. It was so fun to see the little kiddies! The first picture here is Dekker with my friend Jenni- who I haven't seen in about 5 years! It was SO fun to catch up with old friends.

Ode to the GREAT Northwest!

Saturday morning my friend Camille and I hiked "Rattlesnake ridge". I got to the trail head and saw people casually walking past bushfulls of blackberries! I stopped and munched on the heavenly treats. My camera died half way up the trail (why do I always forget to check my batteries). But here a couple pics, that do NOT do justice. At the top was an AMAZING view. I'm hoping my friend Camille got some photos she'll pass on to me.

Hanging with Uncle Brian

I also got to spend some time with family while in Seattle. I stayed one night with my brother and his wife, and a couple of nights with my grandma. My mom, Kari, and Denny came up to see me too!

Fun and projects

I can't believe it is September and the summer is coming to a close! It's been such a great one. I realized that it might look like all we've done is played, as I haven't taken the time to document our projects this summer. So maybe today I'll get out and take pictures or our garden (this year we've enjoyed peaches and cherries as usual, but also fabulous tomatoes, lettuce and carrots), our rock work (we replaced the weed beds with rocks)- and here you can see our finished MA bathroom and our new french doors and patio set (still working on the patio).

Bird Show

I think the birdshow was the highlight for me. We had great seats in the front and center, and these birds were swooping right over our heads!

New Attractions

We were able to see both the new baby monkey, and the white alligator (not an albino, but actually white with blue eyes). The little monkey family was so sweet!
