The Beach

I couldn't go all that way and not go to the beach- so Sunday we drove out to the coast. It wasn't the best beach day weather- but it was great to hear/watch the waves, smell the air, and play in the sand with the boys. Both Josh and Dekker were a little apprehensive at first, but got over that fast.

My boys are models

My sister Sera was asked to do the marketing photos for a friends mineral makeup startup. Josh and Dekker were cast as models for some cool shots using the bronzing and shimmer powders. These are candids I took- but I'll have to post some of the stuff Sera did later because they really turned out cool.

California Trip

I've been gone visiting my dad in California for almost the last week. We just got back last night and so I thought I'd post a few pics from the trip. My dad has beautiful property in Sonoma County. It was fun exploring with the boys. Here's Josh chasing the chickens, Dekker picking strawberries (they had early blackberries too!!!), and checking out the massive squash garden.

Long weekends catch up with you!

This is Josh Sunday night after dinner. Notice the melting popcycle... apparently the long and busy weekend caught up with him!

Happy 4th of July!

Yeah- Jake thought it would be pretty cool to stick sparklers in Josh Trike and have Josh parade around the cul-de-sac. It actually looked pretty cool and Josh thought he was pretty HOT STUFF!

Jaime's 30th Birthday Party!

Help us celebrate GROWING older

This was our theme for the party. We suggested guests that wanted to bring gifts to bring something that could "grow, help grow, or beautify things growing in our yard". During the party we gave everyone a change to pitch in and help plant gifts that were brought. It turned out to be a really fun idea.

Yummy ice cream cake!!!

Kid Friendly Party

I wanted everyone to feel like they could bring their whole family- so we bought a blow up toy (it costs about the same to buy one as to rent one; and we can use it in the future) and kept the whole party laid back. The kids seemed to have a great time. The kids also loved helping when it was time to plant stuff.

My Handsome Husband

This is the sweet guy who put the party together for me!
