Not to be left out

Don't worry. We were sure to wear Titus out having fun too!

4th of July

We were there for the fireworks too. Jake took Josh with Papa Ger to the local showon the 3rd, and we also did a few of our own on the 4th. My friend Camille and her family live nearby and also came up for the 4th.

Skiing of course

I had to get some slalom skiing in while there, and Josh got up on skis for the first time too!

Hanging out

When you're hanging out at Bybee Pond and Vineyards there's always something to do. We had fun collecting eggs from the chickens, picking raspberries and veggies from the garden, climbing barn walls, kayaking, learning to paddle board, jumping on the trampoline and swimming in the pool.

Off to see Papa Ger

After having fun in Southern California with Mom and family, we headed to Northern California to hang with my Dad and family. My sister Sera was there as well as my brother Brian and my niece Kjerstin (who had also been at Disneyland). Papa Ger surprised us all with a pretty mangy beard- yeah we had to document that!

Birthday at the Beach

After three busy days at Disneyland we were all ready to take a day to just relax. Saturday was my birthday and so I'd requested we go to the beach. Off to Huntington Beach it was. We had a great time there, and then that night my hubby took me to a romantic dinner at a local restaurant The Catch. After we went back to the hotel and had ice cream cake with the fam.

Jaime's favorite

My favorite was probably Tower of Terror- since it was new to me. And it wouldn't have been possible for me to go on rides like that if it weren't for our big gang that took turns taking care of the little ones. Have I mentioned what a dream Titus was the whole time?!?! All in all it really was a great Disneyland experience.

Minnie meets minnie

Naomi started calling herself "Minnie" a while back, and it has become her new nick name. When the moment for meeting Minnie the Mouse came our Minnie wasn't too sure about it... but she got the idea and later LATCHED on to a pair of Minnie ears which became her souvenir.

She was willing to go on any ride we took her on- but I'd say her favorites were Tea Cups and It's a Small World.

Another favorite Minnie moment was when Jake went to buy her a sucker. She had a small one, but as they went to check out found this HUGE one. Without taking her eyes off of it she handed the small one back to Jake and smiled at the big one. So of course, he caved and bought her the giant one!

Jake caught the Disney bug

I knew that since Jake is just a big kid at heart, he would love Disneyland once we got there. And he did! He had a blast dragging the kids to different rides, especially convincing Josh to go on the big ones that he was just barely tall enough for!

Josh's favorite

Star Tours and Space Mountain were Josh's favorite rides. The boys had a hard time keeping up with the moving Fast Pass line because they loved checking everything out along the way. The looks on their faces was priceless!

Dekker's Favorite...

CARS Speedway was Dekker's favorite (no surprise). Thanks to Kari and Kjerstin for going first thing in the morning to stand in line for Fast Pass tickets for us! Disney really did to a great job of making you feel like you were there in Radiator Springs.

CARS Land!

Cars Land had opened just two weeks before we got there- so it was definitely the busier part of the parks- but Dekker was in HEAVEN nonetheless! We told the kids they could each pick one souvenir- and Dekker found his CARS hat right away!
